HOW TO CONTROL AND CALM YOUR MIND? SCIENTIFIC APPROACH TOWARDS BHAGVAD GITA

How to control and  calm the mind? We cannot take control over thoughts emotions feelings etc. Even Arjuna the greatest warrior of Mahabharata the greatest dhanurdhar also lost control of his mind and cannot focus as well as cannot take decision at the time of the biggest battle. In the sixth adhyay of the Bhagavad Gita if you read text 34 the Arjun asked Sri Krishna that the mind is restless turbulent obstinate and very strong oh Krishna and to subdue it I think it is more difficult then controlling the wind.

See the mind is restless there are various types of thoughts coming in the mind of an individual at a particular time. Sometimes it will take over. An individual can’t focus on their work. Ones mind can distracted from many things, some get anxious, some also go into depressed state of mind. They just can’t concentrate into a particular activity at a present moment. Basically intelligence is controlling your mind and sensess but most of the time mind and senses take over the intelligence and that’s the problem And even this also happens with the Arjuna.
Then in the next text Lord Shri Krishna said: oh mighty armed son of Kunti it is undoubtedly restless mind but it is possible by suitable practice and by detachment.

Detachment means you have to liberate from the material or physical enslavement and psychological bondage. You have to think beyond the material satisfaction of your mind and the senses. You have to concentrate your mind to the supreme and be a part of a Krishna consciousness. You have to detach your mind from the fruitative activities. Whatever you do you have to devote it to the supreme.
If you do it you can take control over your mind but it needs a huge practice of yoga, meditation etc.
